so it goes..
locking rocksssss. i think i moved up on my learning curve for dance today cos of the locking routine. finally. ok one thing i like about ken's sessions is that they're not based totally on the technical technical technical aspects of the moves. put in your own groove, throw in your own style and boom just move along to the choreography. no rigid perfecting, no trying-to-make-everyone-look-the-same-doing-the-same-move. it's just you, the music, the choreography, and a great group of friends to have fun together doing what you love.
and was talking to cheryl syaz and aileen a little the other day. to have your own style or not? some people might feel it boils down to whether you're naturally rhythmic, or have talent in this field. i guess right now, performing as a club, it's not about that, but rather more of being flexible in learning and adapting as a performer. imo, for a beginning dancer, you should absorb as many different styles as possible, learn as many types of routines as possible in the early stages. then you'll get to be exposed to all different dances, then develop your own individuality from there, from what styles you like the most.
so the question is, what style do i want to be recognised for?
yeah. i dunno /:
there's always something about dance that you can fall in ♥ with;
